He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Stofferahn; his sons, Mark Pauling (Emma) of Estherville, Lee Pauling (Lisa) and Weston Pauling (Tammy) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Matt Pauling (Jessie) of Pella, IA, Dustin Pauling (Katie) of Ankeny, IA, Ashley McDonald, Austin Pauling (Rachel) of Independence, IA, Josh Pauling (Katelyn) of Waupaca, WI and James Pauling of Cedar Rapids; his great grandchildren, Madeleine, Kashen, Hazel, Benjam, Ireland and Isla; and his brother Merlin Pauling of Texas.
