He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thies and Mildred Thies; his wife Cheryl Smith; and his niece Michele Beaty. He is survived by: his children, Merry Wilcox of Elma, Myron Thies of Evansdale, Larry Jr. Thies (Tammy) of Raymond and Ranae White of Jesup; and his sister Leann Osweiler of Des Moines. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
