He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Adrian and Erma Toll McGrane; his brother Tom McGrane; his brothers-in-law, Bob Craig and John Harvey; and his niece Cara McGrane.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Delagardelle of Waterloo; his children, Miranda Arends (Jason) of Cedar Rapids and Larry McGrane (Regina) of Weatherford, OK; his granddaughter Ariel Arends; his siblings, Bill McGrane (Margaret) of Waterloo, Terry McGrane (Mickey) of Cedar Falls, Rich McGrane (Nancy) of Cedar Falls, Pat McGrane of Waterloo, Joan Craig of Waterloo, Barb Reidy (Jim) of Waterloo, Mary Jane Osgood (Jim) of Waterloo and Linda Watkins (Mike) of Waterloo; and his sister-in-law JoEllen McGrane of Des Moines. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Columbus Catholic High School.
