He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Rainey and Donna Haugh Rainey; and his siblings, Michael Rainey and Barbara Wintersteen. He is survived by: his spouse DeLoy S. Hilmer; his sons, Darrell Hilmer of Waterloo and Chris Rainey of Dresser, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Katlain and Dylan Hilmer; his great grandchild Nala Hilmer; his siblings, Donna Thompson of Kiln, Christina Montgomery (James) of Mico, Sharon Williams of Davenport and Todd Rainey (Ralea) of Camp Douglas; and his close friend Perry Lies of Waterloo.
