With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Ann Hansen of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on January 9, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Michel Klein and Anna Klein (Gehrens); her husband Ambrose Hansen; her granddaughter Rebecca Fencl (Hall); her son-in-law Mike Rottinghaus; and her siblings, Sylvia Roder, Elnora Kelsey, Martin, Elmer, Melvin, Raymond, Joseph and Irvin Klein.

She is survived by: her children, Ronald Hansen (Sandy) of Waterloo, Paul Hansen of Waterloo, Michel Hansen (Deb) of Waterloo, Gene Hansen (Kelly) of Waterloo, Kevin Hansen (Kim) of Waterloo, Gary Hansen (Linda) of Myersville, Dale Hansen of LaPorte City, Dianne Jones (Richard) of Waterloo, Patty Rottinghaus of Waterloo, Sharon Aschenbrenner (Terry) of Waterloo, Michele Schmidt (Frank) of Waterloo and Karla Horan (Kevin) of Waterloo; her sister Marcy Weber of Northridge, Calif.; and her siblings-in-law, Jill Klein of Calif, Emil Hansen, Jr. of Minn, Rita Pottebaum of Calif, Margaret Hansen, Mich and Millie Gearke. She is also survived by 44 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren (plus two on the way); four great-great-grandchildren.
