She was predeceased by: her father Duane McClain; her son David Stewart; and her sister Dixie Wood. She is survived by: her mother Helen McClain (Westendorf) of Vinton; her siblings, Jimmy McClain of Waterloo, Leon McClain (Pauline), Carol Kremer (Chris), Sharon McClain and Donna Holt (Charlie) of Waterloo; and her stepdaughters, Sherri Bissonnette (Troy) and Nicole Dawson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
