He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sweeney and Grace Tierney Sweeney; and his sisters, Darlene Livingston and Mary Morrison. He is survived by: his wife Margie Goodman of Waterloo; his children, Sarah Sweeney of Waterloo, Katie Schroedermeier (Rusty) of Peosta and Aaron Sweeney (Chrissy) of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings, James "Jim" Sweeney (Joyce) of Waterloo, Sherry Ziegler (Rolf) of Tucson, AZ and Sue Griffith (Julius) of San Jose, CA.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
