He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Ross and Evelyn Ross (Foster); his wife Diane Ross; his children, Gina Blaskovich (Tom), Trina Ross Holt and Gary Ross; his grandchildren, Evan, Isabel, Sean, Owen and Noah; and his siblings, Judy Cox, Frank Annett (Sandy), Margaret Ross, Donald Ross, David, Bill, Stan and Dixie. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Per John's final wishes, his body was donated to the University of Iowa for education and research purposes.
