It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie Elizabeth Middleton of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Coffeeville, Mississippi, who passed away on August 14, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Buster Carthon and Kate Carthon (Alexander). She is survived by: her children, Dennis Hodges of Waterloo, Iowa., Michael Hodges of Waterloo, Iowa., Debra Hodges-Harmon of Waterloo, Iowa., Leona Middleton of Waterloo, Iowa., Charles Wright and Maxine Tisdale; her grandchildren, Marchelle, Michael L, LaShea, Porschia, Matthew, Ashley, Terron and Shane; her sisters, Bertha Joyce, Lillian Moorehead, Daisy Mae Williams, Helen Grisby, Earline Mister and Nevonia Carthon (Chester Woods); her son William Karl Hodges; her grandson Carlos Pearson; and her great grandchildren, Lyric, Ariyah and Amirah.
Because of Covid-19 concerns, the family requests that masks be worn if attending either of these events.
