She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Bingham and Alice Bingham (Rechkemmer); her husband Kenneth Nelson; her brothers, Michael Bingham and John Bingham; and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Kepler.

She is survived by: her son Kenneth Ray Nelson (Dawn) of Waterloo; her stepchildren, Allan Kepler of Keller, TX and Barbara Zirretta of Des Moines, IA; and her sister Patricia Young (Darrell) of Shell Rock. She is also survived by Eight grandchildren; Four great-grandchildren.

“Jane Nelson a classmate from Finchford Iowa of mine . We entered First Grade at the age of 5 and became life long friends . Jane is a wonderful person and will be deeply missed by many . In later years she directed and developed class reunions of our Finchford classmates . Those meetings were wonderful . It was as if we had been seeing each others for years . The friendships and closeness was re-ignited immediately --even though we had not seen each other for well over 40 years . Love Joe”
