We are sad to announce that on June 30, 2024, at the age of 78, James Sanderson of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Spencer, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Sanderson and Leah Sanderson (Johnson); and his brother Dale Sanderson. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Rusk of Waterloo; his daughter Jill Thompson (Jon) of Urbandale; his grandchildren, Maya and Ty; and his brother George Sanderson (Claudia) of Webb.
