He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" C. Kane and Esther Bulmer Kane; his wife Helen Ann Zubak; his son-in-law David Tiffany; and his siblings, Jack Kane, Francis Kane and Charlotte Hurst (Wesley).
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Tiffany of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Mike Tiffany of Iowa City and Lena Posthuma (Michael); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Kane of Oelwein. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund will be established at a later date.
