He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David H. Pettigrew and Velma Pettigrew (Coble); his wife Beverly Long of Waterloo; his daughter Carrie Schlichtmann (Dan); his granddaughters, Breanna, Autumn and Emma Schlichtmann; and his siblings, Shirley Hunsberger of Independence, MO., Ethel Mae Stark of Springfield, MO., Paul Pettigrew, Josephine, Jessie, Norma Jean and Frances "Louise".
