Jacqueline Freese Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jacqueline Freese (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on November 28, 2024 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jacqueline Freese to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Ward and Mary Ward; and her sister Mary Katherine "Kay" Ward. She is survived by: her husband Fred Freese; her children, Therese Ostermann (David), Michelle Byard (Jim) and Bradley Freese (Lena); her grandchildren, Nathan, Danielle Ostermann, Eleanor and Benjamin; and her siblings, Alexander (Matthew Freese), Clem Ward (Mimi), John Ward and Kevin Ward (Norma). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service West Ridgeway (300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A vigil service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (1423 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701).
Memorial donations may be directed to St Edward's Catholic Church (sted.org), Iowa Public Radio (iowapublicradio.org), The Metropolitan Chorale (met-chorale.org), or a charity of your choice. For those who would be interested in donating their bodies to medical education, from our experience, be aware you need to personally authorize in advance of your passing and we recommend contacting the University of Iowa or your local medical University to begin this process.
