She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Ward and Mary Ward; and her sister Mary Katherine "Kay" Ward. She is survived by: her husband Fred Freese; her children, Therese Ostermann (David), Michelle Byard (Jim) and Bradley Freese (Lena); her grandchildren, Nathan, Danielle Ostermann, Eleanor and Benjamin; and her siblings, Alexander (Matthew Freese), Clem Ward (Mimi), John Ward and Kevin Ward (Norma). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be directed to St Edward's Catholic Church (sted.org), Iowa Public Radio (iowapublicradio.org), The Metropolitan Chorale (met-chorale.org), or a charity of your choice.
