It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Francis Ludwig (Waterloo, Iowa), born in Oyens, Iowa, who passed away on February 8, 2019, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Ludwig and Mary Ludwig (Mae Kestel); his wife Agnes; his children, Steven Ludwig and Elizabeth Ludwig; and his siblings, Joseph, Alphonse, Norman, Clarence Ludwig and Esther TentingerServices.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anne Ludwig (Leslie) of San Francisco, Leah Ladley (Robert) of Eustis, Lois Snyder (Robert) of Green Bay and Jane Martin (Mark) of Sioux Falls; and his daughter-in-law Linda Ludwig of Waterloo. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Edward Catholic Church or the Pavilion at Friendship Village on Park Lane in Waterloo.
