He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Matt and Frank Matt; his wife Anna Mae Sparks; and his son Robert Matt. He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Harvey; his daughters, Shelly Matt (Harold), Karla Matt (Mike) and Jenny Borwig (Chad); his stepchildren, Rose Kriel, Curt Sparks (Linda), Karen Riggs and Ronnie Riggs; and his siblings, Willie Matt (Margaret) and Katherine Soy.

Memorials may be directed to Care Initiative Hospice.
