She was predeceased by: her parents, Sebert Dykes and Rosa Jennings Dykes; her husband Herbert R. Owens; her grandson Russell Owens; and her siblings, Eldon, Jerry Dykes and Rosalee Schwarz.
She is survived by: her sister Gladys Pichelmann of Cedar Falls.
