It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Marie Weires Delagardelle (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on November 7, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Reupke and Marie Ryan Reupke; her former husband Herbert N. Weires; her husband Willard Delagardelle; her siblings, Gordon Reupke (Janet) and Beverly Bassing; her stepson Fred Delagardelle; and her stepchildren-in-law, Mary Delagardelle and Leonard Helm.
She is survived by: her son Jim Weires (Sue) of Ames; her stepchildren, David Delagardelle of Ames, Bill Delagardelle (Diane) of San Diego, CA, Julie Kessens (David) of Williamsburg, Karen Helm of Waterloo, Lisa Lamb (Bob) of Waterloo and Paula Vandenbos (Scott) of Panora; her sister Joyce Siford of Fort Mohave, AZ; her stepdaughter-in-law Julie Delagardelle of Waterloo; and her brother-in-law Bing Bassing of Mendota, IL.. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
