We bid farewell to Helen Cockerham of Waterloo, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 21, 2025 at the age of 94. Helen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Lichty and Belle E. Lichty (Smith); and her siblings, Betty Phillips, Lorene Dobson, John "Jack" Lichty and Mavis Loonan.
She is survived by: her children, Randi Cockerham of Waterloo, Mark Cockerham (Cherie) of Clearwater, FL and Lori Catalano (Dan Schmitt) of Fort Collins, CO; her grandchildren, Ben Cockerham, Sarah Karlesky (Andrew) and Jennifer Cockerham; her stepgrandchildren, Nick and Jenna Catalano; and her great grandchildren, Olivia and Jacob Karlesky. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors.
The Cockerham Family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Unity Point Health-Allen Foundation or the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Helen's honor.
