With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold Joe Walitshek (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on February 10, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Walitshek and Caroline Nelson Walitshek; his wife Lois Ferrie May; his daughter Lori Bartmess; and his sisters, Gloria Even and Georgene Glessner.
He is survived by: his sons, David Walitshek (Cindy) of Star Prairie, Wis, Daniel Walitshek of Waterloo and Donald Walitshek (Mary) of Brashear; his siblings, Richard Walitshek (Leslie) of Tucson, Ariz., Carol Schellhase (Paul) of Garrison, Vicki Sharp of Fairbank, Francine McGarvey (Ronald) of Dunkerton, Doreen Olson (Dean) of Winthrop and Kristine Jensen (Scott) of Cedar Rapids; and his brother-in-law Tom Even. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice.
