With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gregory A. Zabel of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Sumner, Iowa, who passed away on April 10, 2023 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Glen Zabel; and his nephew Brandon. He is survived by: his mother Marcella Gaede Zabel of Fredericksburg; his wife Debby Zabel of Waterloo; his sons, Jamie Zabel (Jessica) of Ankeny and Tim Zabel (Jessica) of Independence; his grandchildren, Emma, Lily and Mason; and his siblings, Russ (Lori) of Northfield, MN, Dan (Pam) of Fredericksburg and Deb Gruenberg of Sumner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews.
