He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Petersen and Luva Jean Beaver Petersen; his children, Christopher Petersen (Elizabeth) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Ursula Trent (Paul) of Overland Park and Kan (Jill Schmitz); his grandchildren, Patrick Petersen, Riley, Tanner, Cooper, Payton Trent, Christopher, Crosby and Zeke Schmitz; and his sisters, Marsha Armitage of Cedar Rapids and Rita Harbaugh of Cedar Rapids.
Due to Covid 19, a private family memorial mass will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church.
