She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Bird and Margaret Martin Bird; her daughter Margaret Hopper; and her siblings, Carolyn Napoli, Nancy Bird, Charles, Leslie, Howard and Robert Bird.
She is survived by: her husband Keith Hopper of Washburn; her children, Everett Hopper'La (Kristina), Roxann Behan' of Waterloo and Nancy Lovley of Westminster, CO; her grandchildren, James, Shane Lovley and Emma Hopper; her stepgrandchildren, Anthony Hopper, Melissa Peña, Kevin and Kendall Walton; and her brother Roger Bird of Urbandale. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Aurora American Legion or the Aurora Historical Society.
