It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Schmidt of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Caledonia, Minnesota, who passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin "Bud" Schmidt and Dolores Schmidt (Bolduan); his siblings, Jo Ann Rislove and Richard Schmidt; his son-in-law Paul Campbell; his nephew Aaron Schmidt; and also Deloris Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Schmidt; his children, Staci Campbell, Scott Schmidt (Shelly) and Josh Schmidt (Terra); his sister Jan Deen Bublitz (Mitch); his siblings-in-law, Amy Schmidt and Doug Rislove; his former wife Pam Seemann (Jim Simbro); and his stepchildren, Ann Padron (Tomas), Jerry Wayne Fitts, Dennis Hanson Jr., Denise Bertch (Tracy), Jennifer Cook (James), Amanda Read (Mike Beninga), Sarah Quesnell and Rebecca Quesnell (Kris Berklund). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
