He was predeceased by: his parents, Sever Halverson and Lizzie Halverson (Knaack). He is survived by: his sons, Jeff (Mary Margaret) of Waterloo, IA and Bryan (Angie); his grandchildren, Blair (Kelly), Adam (Andrea), Jenna Scheider (John), Austin, Andrew of Gilbertville and Hanna Dodd (Noah); and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Casey, Nora, Clara, Peter, August, Lars and Willow. He is also survived by his family and friends.
