It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgia Lee Smithling (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on April 12, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Benson and Gladys Benson (Lindquist); her husband Dennis Smithling; her sons, Gregory and Barry Smithling; and her siblings, Rocky Joe Benson and Bonnie Lou Benson.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Smithling (Barb) of Big Lake, Minnesota, Debi Schares (Jeff) of Dunkerton and Denise Tix (Craig) of Waterloo; and her brother David Benson of Waterloo, Iowa.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren.
