He is survived by: his children, Ken Simmerman (Kristi), Ronny Simmerman and Tammy Gram; his son-in-law Kim Cordes of Waterloo; and his grandchildren, Amber Brauner (Andy), Nicole Simmerman, Jessica Simmerman, Brad Cordes (Emily), Dan Cordes, Eric McLaughlin, Nathan McLaughlin and Bobbi Jo Gram. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
