He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl J. Baethke and Phyllis Stover Baethke; his daughter Amanda "Mandy" Denton of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Marteus Denton, Jr. and TraVez Denton; and his brothers, Alan Baethke (Pam) of St. Louis and Mark Baethke (Jill) of Polk City. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
