He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schoepske and Martha Gutzmer Schoepske; his wife Delores Alice Barber; his sister Dorothy Thies; and his nephew Rick Thies.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Schoepske (Kathy) of Waverly, Dennis Schoepske (Lori) of Waterloo, Doug Schoepske of Waterloo, Duane Schoepske of Cedar Rapids, Sharon Chamberlin (Tim) of Waterloo and Susan Johnson (Dale) of Cedar Falls; and his brother David Schoepske of Waterloo. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
