He is survived by: his parents, Fredrick W. and Gertrude A. Haupt Mettner; his spouse Marjorie M. Steils; his children, Kimberly Mettner of Waterloo, Tamara Prien (Will) of Washburn and Michael Mettner (Margaret) of Washburn; and his great grandchild Logan Frederick Meyer. He is also survived by his wife, four sisters and a brother.
