He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Hansel and Estella Hansel (Vaughn); his spouse Mun Song Duk; his son Scott Austin; and his siblings, Dave Hansel, Jim Glaspie and Judy Hingtgen.
He is survived by: his sons, Frank Hansel Jr. (Helen) of Independence, Marshall Hansel of Traer, Keven Rand (Kat) of Texas, Ben Rand (Denise) of Waterloo and Mike Wilson of Waterloo; and his siblings, Steve Glaspie of Aplington and Judy Stiles. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
