He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Appleby and Olive Stripes Appleby; his wife Sharon K. Jensen; and his siblings, Claridon "Sonny" Appleby, William Appleby, Lula Oestereich, Melvina "Mel" Nolan and Julia Appleby.
He is survived by: his sister Myrtle Laycox of Wynne, AR; his nephew Rick Nolan of Evansdale; and his nieces, Linda Altonen of Bolingbrook, IL and Judy Wacha of Waterloo.
