She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerhard Escherhausen and Anna Escherhausen (Rademaker); her husband Vernon Henry Wefel; her son Kenneth Allen Wefel; and her siblings, Annetta Groen and George Escherhausen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Huffman (Russ) of Waterloo and Sheryl Lindemann (Rudi) of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Desiree Cunningham-Loggins and Robby Cunningham (Na Liu); and her great grandchildren, Gabriel Loggins, Mallory Winkey, Aiden Cunningham and Ethan Cunningham.
