He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Bentley and Mary Elizabeth Nelson Bentley; his wife Leona Thompson; his children, Danny Bentely, Deborah Bentley and Brian Bentley; and his stepsons, David, Dewayne and Dell Thompson.
He is survived by: his former wife Rosetta Murray; his daughters, Brenda Jungen of Waterloo and Roxanne Mobley (Dean) of Cedar Falls; his stepson Denny Thompson (Carol) of Janesville; his daughters-in-law, Sue Bentley of Shellrock, Sue Thompson of Clear Lake and Sharon Thompson of Independence; his grandchildren, Christina, Cindy, James, Shawn, Nicholas, Benjamin, Carl and Elizabeth; and his brother Eugene Bentley (Faith).
