It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emil Henry Schmidt of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Clarksville, Iowa, who passed away on May 12, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Emil and Minnie Marie Laube Schmidt; his daughter Lynette Dietz; and his brothers, Lawrence Schmidt and Lavern Schmidt (Pat).
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Monaghan (Gary) of Waverly and Luann Benson (Dewain) of Waterloo; and his sister-in-law Joyce Schmidt of Waverly. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
