It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elsie Ryan (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schnur and Lila Baker Schnur; and her siblings, Louise Wycoff, Ralph, Raymond, Rusty and Earl Schnur.
She is survived by: her husband Tom; her children, Roger (Judy Twetten) of Cresco, Roxann of Clive, Jean of Decorah and Jeff of Cresco; her grandchildren, Michael Schmidt (Lauren McCarthy) of Clive, David Ryan of Arlington, VA, Kathryn Kruse (Kendall) of Huxley and Sara Gehling of Decorah; and her great grandchildren, Audrey and Emily Schmidt of Clive.
She spent the last four months of her life at the Patty Elwood Center at Country Winds Manor in Cresco, and appreciated the assistance from the Howard County Hospice in helping to bridge the gap for the family when they were unable to visit her in person during the pandemic.
