He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Herold and Rose Riehle Herold; his wife Lucille Holman; and his son-in-law Mark Woodward. He is survived by: his children, Carl Herold (Velma) of Waterloo, Thomas Herold (Juanita) of Rice Lake, Wis and Jeannie Woodward of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Crystal Falco of Clearwater, Fla., Andrea Herold of Waterloo, Robert Herold of Waterloo and Michelle Lienhart (Rob) of Clearwater, Fla.; and his great great grandchild Murphy. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Black Hawk County Veteran Affairs or Cedar Valley Hospice.
