He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Peters and Mary Ann Welsh Peters; his wife Marilynn Brown; his siblings, Clifford, Richard, Bernard Peters, Genivieve Adkisson, Rita Hamm and Marie Murphy; his stepson Doug Brown; his daughter Pamela; and his grandson Bradley Peters.
He is survived by: his former spouse Beverly J. Newton; his children, David Peters (Diane), Chris Backens (Don) of Rapid City, Tony Peters (Jean) of Waterloo and Sue Eddy (Bill) of Waterloo; and his stepsons, Dave Brown (Teresa) of Crystal, Steve Brown (Debbie) of Waterloo and Kevin Brown (Linda) of Anoka, Minnesota. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
