He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward Herold and Rose Emma Riehle Herold; his spouse Mary Anne Reams June; and his siblings, Cletus, Cyril, Wilfred, Eunella Dempewolfe, Luella Burnikel, Ruth Ratkovich and Rose Harkness.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Bebee (Danny) of Waterloo, Paul (Nanette) of Phoenix Ariz, David (Linda) of Cedar Falls and Douglas (Roxanne) of Waterloo; and his siblings, Elmore Herold of Waterloo and Lillian Daughenbaugh of Downey. He is also survived by his sons and grandsons, spending time with his daughter and granddaughters and the campfires and potlucks with his nieces and nephews.
