With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Mildred LaFlamme (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on August 9, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Schmitz and Anna Kettman Schmitz; her spouse Claude LaFlamme; and her siblings, Gertrude Schares (Leonard), Mildred Frost (Lawrence), Marcella Schmitz, Roman Schmitz (Rosella Viola), Bernard Schmitz (Blanche), Harold Schmitz (Hattie) and Michael Schmitz (Helen).
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Boeker (John), Sandra Hall (Zach), Barbara Sorgani (John), Karen Wisman (Mike Tyler), Kathy Russell (Mark), Theresa Chavez (Dennis), Michele LaFlamme (Mark Woolson) and Pamela LaFlamme. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to St. Edward Catholic Church or UnityPoint Hospice.
