He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Herbert and James "Jimmie" Shirley Gump Herbert; his siblings, Peggy McConnell and David Herbert; his granddaughter Rebecca Williams; and his great grandchild Zion Leisinger.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Victoria Coonrad; his children, Kelly Hellwig (Evan) of Springfield, OH, Jay Herbert of Waterloo, Toni Leisinger (Jon) of Council Bluffs, Pam Williams (Jim) of Edmond, OK and Clint Herbert (Cristina) of Waterloo; and his brothers, Gary Herbert (Cheryl) of Lake Lotawana, MO and Jonathan Herbert (Pat) of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions should be directed to Grace Baptist Church in Waverly.
