He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Joseph and Marie Marguerite "Anna" Beliveau Eilers; his siblings, LeRoy (Cheryl), Dale, Ernest (Mary), Irvin (Muriel), Percy (Pauline), Orval, Marlys Eilers Pettigrew (Lloyd) and Gladys Mae; and his father-in-law Wilfred Baethke (Delores).
He is survived by: his wife Karen Baethke; his sons, Dwayne (Tanya Clayberg) of Cedar Falls, Christopher of Waterloo and Jonathan Swarts (Kristin) of Waterloo; his stepson Kyle Baethke of Wadena; his daughters, Michele Phillips (Jay) of Davenport and Jennifer Svoboda (Greg) of Vinton; his grandchildren, Tyler Phillips, Julie, Hailey Swarts, Ethan Harper, Kayla Baethke, Emersyn, Gregory III and William Svoboda; his brothers, Douglas of Calif, Gary (Arlene) of Waterloo and Rudolph (Sandra) of Raymond; his sisters-in-law, Christiana of Panama City, FL and Katherine of Houston, MO; his mother-in-law Donna Baethke of Waterloo; and his siblings-in-law, Lori Gerbasi (Jeff) of Golden Valley, AR, Judy Smith of Durham, NC and Edwin Baethke (Sue) of Waterloo, IA..
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Isle Casino & Hotel (777 Isle of Capri Blvd, Waterloo, IA 50701).
