He is survived by: his wife Sharon Griefnow of Waterloo; his children, Dave Wightman (Christine) of Waterloo, Mike Wightman of Waterloo and Sherri Ladd (Mark) of Waterloo; his grandson Dakota Ladd; his great grandchildren, Odin and Otto Ladd; his brother Jon Wightman (Norma) of Cedar Falls; his stepbrother John Wightman of Wisconsin; his sisters, Barb Wightman of Waterloo and Wendy Peterson (Brad) of Waterloo; and his stepsisters, Cindy Saucerman of Missouri and Sue Wightman of Waterloo.
