She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Schabacker and Ida Felgenhauer Schabacker; her husband Vernon L. Courtney; her siblings, Frederick, George, Adolph, William, Norman, Albert, Clarence Schabacker, Marie Halsne and Esther Thompson; her stepdaughter Judy Smith; and her granddaughters, Diana Hansen and Tammy Hansen-Steege.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Hansen (John) of Fredericksburg, Sandra Plum of Waterloo, Sharon Roberts of Waterloo and Pamela Bowen (Mark) of Lime Springs; and her sister Georgia Belle Broome of Rochelle. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren.
