She was predeceased by: her son Byron Brase; her son-in-law John Crouse; and her siblings, Glenroy, Allen, Ervin and Alice Ann Gumm.
She is survived by: her parents, Harold Fortsch and Alice Ford Fortsch; her spouse Robert Brase; her children, Kelly Laws (Pete) of Waterloo, IA, Beth Crouse of Evansdale, IA, Gregory Brase of Waterloo, IA and Kathy Brase of Waterloo, IA; her stepchildren, John Ayers (Rayne) of Dakota City, SD and Angela Taylor of Waterloo, IA; and her siblings, Bill Gumm of Westgate, IA, Claudette Fortsch of Lewiston, MN and Lou Fortsch of Sumner, IA.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
