She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alois and Frances Delores Kuhn Shimek; her husband Gerald Condon; her son-in-law Darwin Boelts; and her siblings, Judith Ann Shimek, Virginia McBride (Anthony), Carolyn Hau and Conrad Shimek.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Wightman of Iowa City, Maribeth Boelts Sterner (Rob) of Janesville, David Condon (Cindy) of Waterloo, John Condon (Teresa) of Decorah, Joseph Condon of Walnut Creek, CA and Monica Stern (James) of Phoenix, AZ; and her siblings, George Shimek (Roberta) of Waterloo, Mary Ann Gloe of Decorah and William Shimek (Sylvia) of Waterloo. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Memorials Queen of Peace Catholic Church (1519 W 4th St, Waterloo, IA 50702). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church (1519 W 4th St, Waterloo, IA 50702). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (3912 W 4th St, Waterloo, IA 50702).
