Doris Helen Zangerle Obituary

Doris Helen Zangerle was born April 18, 1934, in New Vienna, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Adeline (Schlichte) Jacobsmeyer. She attended St. Boniface High School in New Vienna, Doris married CA "Chic" Zangerle October 27, 1953, in Omaha; he preceded her in death on July 24, 1984. She was a homemaker, then did daycare. Later, she did Secure Sit for the elderly. Doris enjoyed her family and her grandchildren. She always spent time at the kids' sporting events.

Doris passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at MercyOne in Waterloo, at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Becky Zangerle; three sisters, Betty (Ben) Steffen, Alice (Ben) Patitucci and Luella (Julain) Reiff and a special friend, Howard VanBrocklin. Doris is survived by two daughters, Kim (Mark) Lane of Waterloo and Kari (Stormy) Gardner of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Travis Lane (Brooke Juliar), Nate (Clancy) Lane, Wes (Ella) Lane, Sydney and Myles Gardner; five great-grandchildren, Ellie Lane, Gibson and Hollan Lane and Macklin and Miller Lane and a brother, David (Mary) Jacobsmeyer of New Vienna, Iowa.
