He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Ann Sonksen; his parents, Donald Steiert and Hilda Steiert (Rohwer); and his sisters, Joanne Hill, Janice Sevey and Margy Aldrich.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Dierks (Dane) of Cedar Rapids, Tracy Freese (Randy) and Christy Frese (Jeff) of Ely; his grandchildren, Megan Zlahtohlavek (Tom) of Lenexa, KS, Jordan Dierks (Toni) of Kansas City, MO, Katie Dierks of Cedar Rapids, Tristan and William Frese of Ely; his great grandchild Jake Zlatohlavek; and his sister Sue Moscarelli (Mike).
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Maple Hill Cemetery (1492 D Ave, Gladbrook, IA 50635).
