It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald J. Reicherts (Waterloo, Iowa), born in Dewar, Iowa, who passed away on November 13, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Reicherts and Anna Worple Reicherts; his siblings, LuVerne Reicherts and Norma Mills; his siblings-in-law, Marvin Wissink, Jerry Schmitt, Clarence Schmitt, Bob McMahon, David Peterson and Wilma Schmitt; and his parent-in-law Orville.
He is survived by: his spouse Lois Marie Schmitt; his children, Gary Reicherts (Beverly) of Osage, Russel Reicherts (Laurie) of Waterloo and Kathy Blum (Keith) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Angie Reicherts of Osage, Aaron Reicherts (Cari), Rick Reicherts (Katie) and Kristin Tompkins (Trent) of Cedar Falls; his great grandchildren, William Tompkins, Carter Tompkins, Danielle Reicherts, Sydney Reicherts, Joey Reicherts and Alli Reicherts; his sisters, Vera Pfiffner (Joe) of Waterloo and Bernita Peterson of Dumont; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Wissink of Cedar Falls and Jeanette McMahon of Denver.
Visitation also one hour prior to services In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Edward Catholic Church or to the Don Reichert's Memorial fund to be donated to Multiple Myeloma Patient Network to help those in need to pay for myeloma drugs.
