He is survived by: his wife Dianne; his children, Shawn Doering of Las Vegas and Michelle Mapes (Jeff) of Santa Clarita; his grandchildren, Stella Mapes and Charlie Mapes; his siblings, Steven Doering (Mary) of Waterloo, Jon Doering (Laura) of Ankeny, Jeanne Nesbit (Ron) of Clive, Mary Kinkaid (Russ) of Shell Rock, Cathy Hartz (Tim) of Cedar Falls and Tamie Hattan (Mike) of Parrish; and also Chris Wion of Des Moines. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
